Wrestling Wins 2011 ISU LifeSkills Challenge

The wrestling team brought home the 2011 Iowa State Athletics LifeSkills Challenge trophy for achieving success in several different areas of athletic compliance! Read below for details on the CHAMPS (CHallenging Athletes Minds for Personal Success) program.

Academic Services facilitates the CHAMPS Life Skills program. The purpose of the CHAMPS / Life Skills program is to provide a proactive and holistic program to meet the individual needs of student-athletes. The program, based on student-athlete input, is designed to assist program participants in meeting the academics and athletics demands associated with being both a student and an athlete, while promoting individual development.

Commitment Areas
Academic Commitment - ISU provides educational development experience to enhance the overall probability of academic success and graduation among its participating student-athletes.

Athletic Commitment - ISU provides the opportunity, inspiration, and resources for its participating student-athletes to strive to reach their fullest athletic potential by promoting leadership, competition, integrity, sportsmanship, and amateurism.
